Project Overview
Large-scale custom residence designed for a steep hillside lot in central Boulder. The home features multiple split levels, complex foundation conditions, and expansive open-concept spaces requiring strategic beam placement.
What We Did
Timberland provided full structural engineering and drafting, delivering stamped plans for both the foundation and framing systems. The multilevel layout demanded custom load path solutions and foundation coordination with sloped site conditions and frost depth requirements.
We integrated steel beams and engineered wood framing to create wide-open interior spans, while designing a foundation system that stepped naturally with the terrain. Close collaboration with the architect ensured structural precision without compromising the design intent.
